Survie wins Christophe Clement Turf Stakes at Saratoga

Survie secured her first North American Grade 1 victory by winning the Christophe Clement Turf Stakes at Saratoga. Ridden by Manuel Franco for trainer George Boughey and owner Michael Tabor, the horse overcame a slow early pace to sweep past the field in the final furlong.

The win, which stopped the clock at 2:31.55, earned Survie an automatic, fees-paid berth in the $5 million Breeders' Cup Turf scheduled for October 31 at Keeneland. The race was the first running under its new name, honoring Hall of Fame horseman Christophe Clement.

Minaret Station finished second under jockey José Ortiz, while Program Trading took third. The field included several notable competitors, such as the 9-5 favorite Ancient Egypt, who finished fourth.
