Survival games Permafrost and Alia Domus offer free playtests

Several survival-themed video games are currently offering opportunities for players to test their mechanics. The survival game Permafrost, developed by SpaceRocket Games, is currently available for a free playtest on Steam. The playtest period has been extended to two hours and will remain open until October 6, 2026, ahead of its Early Access launch on October 9.

Additionally, the sci-fi survival RPG Alia Domus, developed by Cat Crate Games, is also available for free testing. The game features an isometric pixel-art style where players act as colonists on an alien planet attempting to ensure human survival through resource gathering, crafting, and technological progression across nine different eras.
