Susan Collins' office responds to constituent claims of ignored correspondence
The office of Senator Susan Collins issued a response to claims made by constituent Earle Wingate regarding a lack of communication from the Senator. While Wingate asserted he had not received a response to his correspondence for over eight years, the Senator’s Chief of Staff, Katie Brown, clarified that Wingate has received seven responses during that period.
According to the office, recent correspondence included a written response from Collins regarding her opposition to the nominations of Pete Hegseth and Kash Patel. Previous replies to Wingate covered topics such as support for Ukraine, the impeachment trial of Donald Trump, and opposition to the 2019 partial government shutdown.
