Susan Egan suggests Tom Holland and Zendaya for Disney’s Hercules remake

Susan Egan, the original voice actress for Megara in Disney’s 1997 animated film ‘Hercules’, has expressed her desire to see Tom Holland and Zendaya star in the upcoming live-action remake.

Speaking at Disney’s D23 event, Egan suggested Zendaya would be ideal for the role of Meg due to her presence, vocal ability, and grounded nature. She proposed Tom Holland for the role of Hercules. While no official casting has been announced by Disney, Egan noted that the world ‘needs’ the pair in these roles.

The live-action Hercules project has been in development with various creative attachments discussed since 2020, including writer Dave Callaham and producers Joe and Anthony Russo.
