Susana Jara reappointed as vice president of Europarc-España
Susana Jara, the Director General of Natural Environment and Biodiversity for the Government of Castilla-La Mancha, has been reappointed as vice president of Europarc-España. The decision follows a recent assembly meeting in Madrid held to renew the organization's governing bodies.
In this new term, the Council will be chaired by Carles Borràs Pla, the Deputy Director General of Natural Spaces and Wildlife for the Generalitat Valenciana. Jara noted that her continued role allows Castilla-La Mancha to share best practices and contribute to innovative biodiversity conservation policies.
Europarc-España has served as a professional forum for the planning and management of protected areas in Spain since 1993. The organization currently includes 26 members from various administrative levels, including the State Administration through the National Parks Autonomous Body, regional environmental departments, and various local councils.
