Susana Rodríguez Gacio wins eighth paratriathlon World Championship
Susana Rodríguez Gacio has secured her eighth paratriathlon World Championship title. The victory took place in Pontevedra, marking a significant achievement for the athlete, who is also a two-time Paralympic gold medalist.
This win serves as a personal redemption following the 2023 World Championship, where she earned a silver medal after receiving what she described as an unjust penalty. Rodríguez Gacio, who is based in Galicia, noted the intense support from local spectators during the race. She was accompanied by her guide, Sara Pérez, during the competition.
