Susana Zabaleta criticizes Aleks Syntek and announces foundation ambassadorship

Mexican actress and singer Susana Zabaleta has criticized singer Aleks Syntek regarding his pursuit of recognition. During a press conference, Zabaleta remarked on the tendency for artists to receive posthumous acclaim, specifically questioning Syntek’s current desire for recognition amidst recent controversies.

Syntek has recently faced backlash following a concert in Mexico City where he clashed with audience members over song requests and made comments regarding musical genres. He also faced criticism for social media interactions involving public figures, for which he later offered apologies.

Separately, Zabaleta addressed age-related stereotypes, sharing that she found love at age 59 and continues to pursue new experiences. She has also joined the foundation 'Construyendo y Creciendo' as an ambassador to support education for construction workers. To benefit the foundation, she will perform the 'Zabaleta Sinfónica' concert at the Teatro Metropólitan on February 17, featuring arrangements of songs by various renowned composers.
