Susana Zatarain demands IMSS review emergency care in Los Cabos

Senator Susana Zatarain has called upon the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) and IMSS-Bienestar to review emergency care protocols in Los Cabos. The request follows reports from Cabo San Lucas firefighters regarding difficulties in delivering emergency patients to public hospitals.

Zatarain highlighted concerns involving the Hospital General de Subzona number 38 in San José del Cabo, specifically regarding hemodialysis services and alleged staffing shortages. She has formally requested that IMSS Director General Zoé Robledo and IMSS-Bienestar Director Alejandro Svarch investigate potential denials of service and ensure compliance with the General Health Law, which mandates immediate attention for emergency cases.
