Susanne Sundfør announces new album ‘Revelations of Divine Love’

Norwegian artist Susanne Sundfør is set to release her eighth studio album, ‘Revelations of Divine Love’, in 2026 via the Bella Union label. The project is a collaboration with British jazz pianist and organist Kit Downes.

Recorded in November 2024 at Bragernes Kirke in Norway, the album features a minimalist arrangement consisting primarily of Sundfør’s vocals and Downes’ pipe organ. The recording process focused on an intimate, meditative atmosphere, with many of the 13 tracks captured in single takes.

The album takes its title from the 14th-century mystical text by Julian of Norwich. Sundfør’s work explores themes of spiritual curiosity, hope, and resilience, drawing a connection between the historical text’s feminine perspective and her own artistic evolution.
