Susanne Sundfør Unveils Album “Revelations Of Divine Love”

Norwegian singer‑songwriter Susanne Sundfør announced her seventh studio album, Revelations Of Divine Love, slated for release on 2 October (year not specified). The record is a concept work recorded live with only a pipe organ and her voice in a Norwegian church, featuring organist Kit Downes.

The album draws inspiration from the 14th‑century mystic Julian of Norwich, using lyrics taken from Grace Warrack’s 1901 translation of Julian’s Revelations of Divine Love. The lead single, “I It Am,” showcases the ethereal organ backdrop and Sundfør’s vocal delivery. The release will be issued by Bella Union.

Sundfør said the project reflects “a renewed understanding of love… You don’t have to be religious to believe that love is the answer,” positioning the work as a meditation on universal love amid a world she describes as “full of horror and unhappy, unsatisfied people.”
