Susanta Kumar Purohit appointed Chairperson of Paradip Port Authority

Susanta Kumar Purohit has assumed additional charge as the Chairperson of the Paradip Port Authority (PPA). The appointment was made by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India.

Purohit, a 1996 batch officer of the Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE), will maintain his current role as Chairperson of the V. O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOC Port) while overseeing the Paradip Port.

His leadership at Paradip Port is expected to focus on strengthening infrastructure and connectivity, improving operational efficiency, and modernizing cargo-handling facilities. Additionally, he will oversee the advancement of green and sustainable port initiatives.
