SUSE appoints Stefan Gaiser as Chief Financial Officer

SUSE has announced the appointment of Stefan Gaiser as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective September 14, 2026. Gaiser will succeed Ian Halifax, who is stepping down from the role on that date. To facilitate a smooth transition, Halifax will remain with the company as an advisor until the end of 2026.

Currently a member of the SUSE Supervisory Board and Chair of the Audit Committee, Gaiser brings extensive financial leadership experience, having previously served as CFO for TeamViewer, Kofax plc, and P&I Personal & Informatik AG. SUSE CEO Dirk-Peter van Leeuwen noted that the CFO role is strategic for accelerating development and supporting long-term value creation. Gaiser expressed confidence in the company’s growth potential, particularly regarding its position in the open-source infrastructure market amidst the rise of AI and digital sovereignty.
