SushiFest Colombia Returns with Over 30 Restaurants in Bogotá and Cali

The sixth edition of SushiFest Colombia runs from July 30 to August 9, bringing together more than 30 Japanese‑fusion restaurants in Bogotá, the Sabana Centro municipalities north of the capital, and Cali. Each venue offers a unique "author roll"—a chef‑created sushi piece priced uniformly at COP 23,900 (about US $6). The festival, organized by Restaurantes Unidos de Colombia, aims to generate opportunities for eateries, boost the sector and introduce diners to innovative blends of Japanese technique with Colombian ingredients such as lulo‑infused rice, patacón, and ají amarillo.

During the eleven‑day event the public votes for the best rolls, with the top three announced on August 9 via the festival’s official social channels. The initiative follows a rapid rise in sushi demand in the country, with roughly 700,000 orders recorded in 2025, a 100 % increase from the previous year, and Bogotá leading consumption followed by Medellín, Cali and other major cities.
