Sushiro partners with TV Yamaguchi for regional sushi collaboration

Sushiro has announced its first collaboration with the TV Yamaguchi information program ‘mix’ to launch two specialty sushi items at Sushiro locations within Yamaguchi Prefecture.

The collaboration features products designed by Mitsuki Morimoto, an announcer for ‘mix’ and a self-described Sushiro enthusiast. The first item, the ‘Kintai Bridge Style Roll’ (starting at 480 yen), is inspired by the famous Kintai Bridge in Iwakuni City. It consists of a mixed rice roll filled with ingredients like shiso, egg, and cucumber, topped with shrimp, salmon, dried horse mackerel, and sea eel, finished with salmon roe.

The second item, ‘Fugu and Seared Shirako Wrapped in Ponzu Jelly’ (starting at 280 yen), utilizes fugu (pufferfish), a local specialty. It combines seared true fugu with torafugu milt that has been seared with soy sauce, served with a refreshing ponzu jelly.

Both items are available in limited quantities at participating Yamaguchi Prefecture stores and will be sold until stocks are exhausted.
