Suspect arrested in Argentina for dismemberment and femicide

Authorities in Argentina have arrested Raúl Agustín Bullones, suspected of the femicide of 42-year-old Gabriela Vanesa Centeno. Centeno’s dismembered body was discovered buried in bags in the República neighborhood of San Luis capital.

Following the discovery, investigators tracked Bullones as he fled San Luis and returned to his native Mendoza. He was apprehended by the Special Patrol Unit (UEP) in the Las Heras department after a foot pursuit in the Santa Teresita neighborhood. Bullones has a criminal record involving previous robberies and a history of gender-based violence.

Centeno’s family, including her sister Anyelen González, has expressed profound grief and criticized public comments that blame the victim for her relationship with the suspect. The family is currently seeking assistance to transport Centeno’s remains from San Luis to Mendoza for burial.
