Terrell Williams, 44, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, has been charged in connection with the burglary of the North Carolina home of deceased NASCAR driver Greg Biffle. Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell announced that Williams allegedly targeted the residence after using news reports and social media to identify properties likely to be empty following the fatal plane crash that killed Biffle and his family in December 2025.

During the break-in, which occurred in early January, an estimated $30,000 in cash, two Glock handguns, gold and silver coins, and valuable NASCAR memorabilia were stolen. Investigators believe Williams used a radio-frequency detector to locate and avoid wireless security cameras and equipment while inside the 13,000-square-foot estate.

Authorities have recovered some of the stolen memorabilia. Williams is currently being held in Cobb County, Georgia, on suspicion of another burglary. Additionally, investigators are looking into a separate fraud case involving the unauthorized access of the Biffle family’s bank, Venmo, and PayPal accounts following their deaths.
