Suspect in Irapuato bank robbery arrested; accomplice still at large

Police arrested Bogar "N", a 21‑year‑old man from Mexico City, after a robbery of an account holder inside a bank branch on Blvd. Díaz Ordaz in Irapuato, Guanajuato on Friday, 24 July. Witnesses described two men on a black Kawasaki Ninja 650 motorcycle. Authorities tracked the suspects to Arandas, where an exchange of fire damaged a police motorcycle. One suspect stole a dark‑colored Volkswagen Jetta and fled, leaving Bogar to attempt escape on foot before being captured among nearby vegetation.

The police later recovered the stolen Jetta, the motorcycle used in the assault, and a firearm found inside the vehicle. All seized items and Bogar have been turned over to the competent authority for legal proceedings. The accomplice remains unidentified and at large.
