Suspect in Rosario homicide surrenders to police

A 29-year-old man, identified as Pablo P., has surrendered to authorities in Rosario following a manhunt for the January homicide of 26-year-old Nicolás Fabián Cortez. The suspect had been wanted since January 3, when Cortez was shot in the back near Platón and Pineda.

The Santa Fe government had previously offered a reward of 10 million pesos for information leading to his capture. Following a search by the Investigation Police (PDI) at his residence in Villa La Cariñosa, prosecutor Agustina Eiris reported that the suspect was willing to surrender and was waiting inside his home for police arrival.

The investigation, conducted by the Highly Lethal Violence Unit (UVAL), charged Pablo P. with aggravated homicide involving a firearm. He has been taken into custody and remains at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
