Suspected CJNG member arrested in Puebla after burned‑vehicle incident

Federal and state forces in Puebla captured Diego N., a 30‑year‑old suspect believed to be a member of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). The operation, conducted by the Navy, Public Security Secretariat and the State Prosecutor's Office, located the suspect near the Periférico Ecológico where a vehicle was found burned on June 22, containing human remains. Authorities seized a firearm, ammunition, cash, and illegal substances, and placed the detainee in the custody of the Ministry of the Interior for further investigation.

Investigators say the arrested individual may have direct links to the CJNG, and the case is ongoing to determine any additional criminal involvement.
