Suspense thrillers recommended for end-of-summer reading

As summer concludes, readers are encouraged to explore new suspense fiction. Notable recent releases include Silvia Moreno-Garcia’s noir novel, ‘The Intrigue’. Set in 1940s Mexico, the story follows a con artist named Ulises who targets wealthy women through magazine advertisements. His plans face complications when he visits the port of Veracruz and encounters Perla, a boarding-house owner, and her niece, Inés.

Additionally, author Richard Russo has released his first crime thriller, ‘Under the Falls’, which is set in upstate New York.
