Sustainability and water management drive strategic business discussions
During the second day of the 2026 Sustainability and CSR Week organized by FUNDEMAS in Honduras, business and financial leaders discussed how sustainable finance and environmental risk management are becoming strategic factors for competitiveness. The event featured insights from ESG Partners Inc. and panels involving major banks, including BAC, Bancoagrícola, Banco Cuscatlán, and Banco Promerica, to analyze the link between sustainability and financial decision-making.
In Spain, the focus remains on water management and resilience. While recent reports from the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge indicate that no territory in the peninsula is facing prolonged drought as of late May 2026, localized water scarcity persists in areas like Marina Baja and Mancha Occidental. Experts emphasize that industrial competitiveness and the energy transition will increasingly depend on optimizing existing water resources through digital tools, reuse, and improved traceability rather than relying solely on new infrastructure.
