Sustainability Marketing and Low‑Waste Swaps Emphasize Plastic Reduction

Consumer guides highlight practical low‑waste swaps, recommending carbon‑neutral retailers such as Grove Collaborative, which bans over 3,000 harmful ingredients and funds ocean‑plastic collection, and Blue Land, which has diverted more than a billion plastic bottles since its 2019 launch. Shoppers are also encouraged to seek local refill stores to reduce single‑use packaging.

In parallel, brands are showcasing measurable sustainability marketing. Australian beverage company H2coco partnered with Plastic Collective to achieve a 100% Net Plastic Collected certification by supporting the SEArcular project in Indonesia. Period‑care brand August pledged to collect and recycle 22 tonnes of plastic annually through the Greencore project in Indonesia and later expanded its effort to Ghana, promoting a “100% Net Plastic Recycled at End of Life” claim. Both examples stress clear, quantifiable actions over vague promises.
