Sustainable Agriculture Congress to be held in Santa Cruz, Bolivia

The first International Congress of Sustainable Agriculture will take place in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, on September 7 and 8, 2026. Organized by the Asociación de Productores de Oleaginosas y Trigo (Anapo), the event will bring together specialists from Argentina, Brazil, and Bolivia to discuss sustainable food production in the Southern Cone.

Key topics include agroclimatology for the 2026/2027 summer, precision agriculture, soil management, bioinputs, and fertilization. Discussions will also cover the use of drones, alternative crops like sorghum and millet, and biotechnological tools to increase sector resilience. The oilseed and wheat sector is a vital part of the Bolivian economy, generating $1.145 billion in exports in 2025 and supporting approximately 120,000 jobs.
