Sustainable Fuel Management Gains Momentum with ERP and Carbon‑Neutral Solutions
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems are being used to manage fuel compliance across agriculture, forestry and mining. By tracking procurement, usage and storage, ERP‑compliant fuels improve traceability, reduce risk and can boost efficiency—mineral‑compliance checks in forestry operations have been shown to increase efficiency by up to 30 %. Over 60 % of ERP‑compliant fuels in agriculture are now biofuels, cutting reliance on traditional fossil sources.
The XRPL carbon‑neutral initiative highlights seven fuel types—including biofuels, biogas and green hydrogen—that can achieve net‑zero emissions over their lifecycle. Biofuels, for example, can lower greenhouse‑gas emissions by up to 86 % compared with conventional fossil fuels in agricultural and industrial use. These carbon‑neutral fuels are promoted as a way to meet sustainability goals while maintaining productivity in sectors such as agriculture, forestry, mining and infrastructure.
