Sustainable Holdings begins construction of Suzuka Battery Storage Plant
Sustainable Holdings Co., Ltd. has commenced construction of the Suzuka Battery Storage Plant in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, as of July 2026. The facility is designed as a grid-scale battery system to assist in balancing electricity supply and demand.
The plant will feature a rated output of 1,995 kW and a storage capacity of 8,358 kWh. Once completed and connected to the power grid, the system will charge during periods of excess electricity and discharge when demand is high. This function is intended to support the integration of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind, which are subject to fluctuations based on weather and time of day.
