Sustainable Japan Award 2026 winners announced
Japan Times Cube has announced the recipients of the Sustainable Japan Award 2026. Now in its eighth year, the award recognizes companies, local governments, and individuals who contribute to solving social issues through advanced and continuous sustainable activities.
In the ESG category, Saraya Co., Ltd. received the Grand Prize. In the Satoyama category, the Kyoto Satoyama SDGs Meguru Project (Bikkuri Eco Research Institute) was named the Grand Prize winner. Other notable recipients include Earth Company and Morinaga Milk Industry Co., Ltd. in the ESG category, and the Nasu Machizukuri Hiroba and NPO Suma Universal Beach Project in the Satoyama category.
A commemorative event featuring panel discussions by the award winners and talk sessions by the judges is scheduled to take place on September 29, 2026, at the International House of Japan in Tokyo.
