Sutton Coldfield teens vandalise town‑centre flower beds, police investigate

A group of teenage boys, aged roughly 12 to 15, were recorded on video destroying a flower‑bed in Sutton Coldfield town centre near the Gracechurch Shopping Centre. The youths laughed and kicked the plants, and earlier had attempted to damage nearby bus shelters. Bystanders urged them to stop, and West Midlands Police arrived, spoke to the youngsters and left, after which the teens resumed the vandalism.

Police have identified several suspects and are considering restorative‑justice measures such as requiring the youths to replant the area. The incident has sparked public outrage on social media, and the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield Council has been contacted for comment.
