Sutton family attacked by dogs during child's birthday celebration

A family in Sutton, London, experienced a traumatic incident when two dogs attacked a four-year-old boy in their garden. The attack occurred just as the family was preparing to celebrate the child's birthday with a trip to Chessington World of Adventures.

Jason Gooders, the boy's father, reported seeing a brown mastiff biting the child on the head while another black dog stood nearby. While holding his one-year-old daughter in his arms, Gooders intervened to separate the animals. During the struggle, Gooders was also bitten on the leg and glute.

The child's mother, Charlotte Fordham, assisted in getting the boy inside the house after he was unable to walk due to the severity of the injuries, which included tissue and flesh being torn from his skull. Gooders drove the child to the hospital immediately following the incident.
