Suvendu Adhikari accuses TMC and CPI(M) of conspiring to revive political violence

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) of collaborating to incite anarchy and political instability in the state.

Speaking at a ‘Save Democracy’ programme in Garbeta, Paschim Medinipur, Adhikari claimed that a new alliance between Mamata Banerjee and CPI(M) leader M. A. Baby signifies that the two parties have become “brothers-in-arms.” He alleged that this partnership aims to return the region to an era of political violence.

Adhikari vowed to reopen criminal investigations into historical incidents, including armed attacks in Nandigram during the 2007 anti-land acquisition protests and the massacre of TMC supporters in Choto Angaria village in 2001. He asserted that no individuals involved in those past crimes would be spared.
