Suvendu Adhikari announces plans to expand Khudiram Bose's history in curricula
Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has announced plans to expand the historical coverage of revolutionary Khudiram Bose in educational curricula. Speaking at Khudiram Bose's ancestral home in Mohbani, West Midnapore, on the anniversary of his martyrdom, Adhikari stated that the revolutionary's life should not be limited to a few lines in textbooks but should be taught extensively from school to university levels.
To honor the freedom fighter, the government plans to transform his birthplace into a center for research and history. Key initiatives include the construction of a modern museum and gallery, the implementation of laser shows for visitors, and the development of residential facilities for researchers studying the independence movement in East Midnapore.
To facilitate these developments, Adhikari announced a grant of 5 crore rupees to the Mohbani Development Board. He emphasized that preserving such history is essential for instilling patriotism and values in the new generation.
