Suwałki police investigate illegal possession of protected birds

Police in Suwałki have launched an investigation after discovering protected bird species being held on a private property without the necessary documentation. During a check conducted by officers specializing in economic crime, authorities seized a wild buzzard and two Himalayan owls.

The resident of the property claimed that the buzzard had been left for him by someone else some time ago. Law enforcement is currently working to determine the circumstances under which the protected birds arrived at the location and whether the individual has violated species protection laws. Other relevant services have been notified of the incident.
