Suwon City hosts diverse autumn festivals and night markets
Suwon City is hosting a variety of autumn festivals throughout September, offering numerous free events including classical music, trot, jazz, and night markets.
On September 11, the Suwon Outdoor Music Hall will host the ‘Park Concert’ featuring the Suwon City Symphony Orchestra, soprano Hong Hye-ran, tenor Choi Won-hee, the duo Davichi, and violinist Danny Koo. On September 12, the ‘Sathongpaldal Eoullim Hanmadang’ will take place at Hwaseong Haenggung Palace, featuring trot singers such as Jin Seong and Kang Jin, alongside a drone art show involving 1,230 drones to commemorate the 230th anniversary of the construction of Suwon Hwaseong.
The Suwon Jazz Festival will be held at Gwanggyo Lake Park on September 18 and 19, featuring artists like Lee Eun-mi and jazz pianist Jeong Dong-hwan. Additionally, local traditional markets are hosting night events, including the ‘King’s Night Market’ at Nammun Market on September 19 and the ‘Yeonmu Owl Street Night Market’ on September 11, both featuring food, crafts, and cultural performances.
