Suwon City Museum hosts sensory nature exhibition

The Suwon City Museum is hosting a participatory educational exhibition titled ‘Green Green Museum: Sensory Note’ at the Manseok Exhibition Hall. Running until December 4, the exhibition focuses on the themes of nature, connection, circulation, and coexistence.

Featuring 13 paintings and installation works, the exhibition includes new pieces by artist Yang Ji-yoon, who uses Hanji (traditional Korean paper) to express the movement of light and water. Artist Lim Hyun-kyung presents the series ‘Time Connecting the Forest 1-8,’ which explores the concept of ‘care’ between humans and nature through depictions of forests and artificial supports.

To create a multi-sensory experience, olfactory artist Lee Hye-young has curated specific scents derived from actual plants, such as roots, soil, and resin, to complement the visual works. The exhibition space also incorporates auditory elements, including sounds of birds, wind, and water. Visitors can engage with the exhibition through educational programs and sensory recording activities. Admission and experience programs are free of charge.
