Suwon to host diverse cultural festivals throughout October

Suwon Special City has announced a diverse lineup of cultural, artistic, and experiential festivals scheduled throughout October. The events will take place across various locations, including parks, arboretums, and the Suwon Hwaseong area.

Key highlights include the 63rd Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival from October 4 to 11, featuring the King Jeongjo Royal Procession on October 4, and the Suwon Hwaseong Media Art exhibition running until October 6. Nighttime programs such as ‘Bambit Garden’ will be held at Ilwol and Yeongheung Arboretums on Fridays and Saturdays.

Other scheduled events include the Suwon Chicken Street Festival (October 16–18), the Gyeonggi Indie Music Festival (October 17–18), and various community-focused celebrations such as the Suwon City Lunchbox Market, pet-themed festivals, and local flower and chrysanthemum festivals. The city encourages residents and visitors to utilize local parks to enjoy the autumn season.
