Šustić sisters win world ultramarathon title

Croatian ultramarathon twin sisters Nikolina and Nataša Šustić have secured the world title in a 100-kilometer race held in Ames, Spain. The sisters' performance contributed significantly to the team ranking of the Croatian national representation.

Nikolina finished fifth individually, while Nataša finished seventh. The sisters, who were originally inspired to pursue sports through basketball, have transitioned from court competition to long-distance running. Nikolina, an electrical engineering and informatics professional, overcame early medical warnings regarding a heart defect to achieve her athletic goals.
