Suzana Lazović extends term as Montenegro women's handball coach

Suzana Lazović has extended her term as the head coach of the Montenegro women's national handball team for another two years. The Handball Federation of Montenegro confirmed the continued cooperation, which aims to maintain the team's position among the elite of European and world handball.

During her previous tenure, Lazović led the team to eighth-place finishes at both the EHF Euro 2024 and the 2025 World Championship. A key focus of her recent work has been integrating younger players from junior national selections into the senior squad to ensure long-term quality and energy.

The primary long-term objective for this new cycle is qualifying for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. The team's first major challenge will be the 2026 European Championship, hosted across Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Turkey.
