Days of Our Lives: Suzanne Rogers returns as Maggie Kiriakis

Longtime actress Suzanne Rogers has returned to 'Days of Our Lives' as Maggie Kiriakis following a medical leave of absence. Rogers had been away from the screen since April 2026 to undergo treatment for Stage II colorectal cancer.

Her return to Salem, which began on August 31, 2026, coincides with several other cast developments. Brandon Butler is set to debut as a new character, Mason Whitfield, on September 1. Additionally, actress Brytni Sarpy is slated to join the cast in a mystery role in 2027.

Ongoing storylines for the week of August 31 include EJ DiMera causing chaos, Philip Kiriakis making a shocking proposal to Gabi Hernandez, and Lani Price offering reassurance to Abe Carver.
