Suzlon Energy stock falls following Q2 earnings report
Suzlon Energy shares experienced a significant decline, trading below multiple moving averages after the company reported its second-quarter results for FY27. The renewable energy solutions provider saw a 69.19% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit, falling to Rs 394.15 crore from Rs 1,279.44 crore in the same period last year.
Despite the drop in profit, the company reported a 25.96% year-on-year increase in revenue from operations, reaching Rs 4,869.05 crore. On a sequential basis, net profit rose 29.14% compared to the first quarter of FY27.
Following the results, several brokerages lowered their price targets for the stock. ICICI Securities reduced its target to Rs 55, Axis Capital lowered its target to Rs 42, and Nuvama Institutional Equities cut its target to Rs 41. JM Financial downgraded the stock from 'Buy' to 'Add', citing competition and the challenges of operating as a single-product company in India's wind energy market.
