Suzuka Circuit to host first F1 sprint race at 2027 Japanese Grand Prix
The 2027 FIA Formula 1 World Championship Lenovo Japanese Grand Prix is scheduled to take place at Suzuka Circuit from April 9 to April 11, 2027. Tickets for the event will go on sale via the official online shop, MobilityStation, starting November 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
A major highlight of the 2027 event is the introduction of the first F1 sprint race in Japan. The race weekend schedule will feature sprint qualifying on Friday, the sprint race and qualifying for the main race on Saturday, and the main race on Sunday.
Several changes to spectator arrangements have been announced. All reserved seats will now be valid for the full three-day period, including Friday. New seating options include the ‘Ultra Outlet Seats,’ which offer a close-up view of the action despite some visual restrictions, and the ‘Ferris Wheel Lounge,’ a new hospitality area located near the final corner. Additionally, updates to safety debris fencing may alter sightlines for certain sections, such as D and E seats.
