Suzuka City to host experiential learning event for children

The NPO shining will host an event titled ‘Nurturing Children’s ‘I Want to Do It! Let’s Try It!’’ on August 23, 2026, at the Hayashi United Cultural Hall Suzuka in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture.

The event is designed to allow children to experience various professions and creative activities. Planned activities include soccer training equipment demonstrations, experiences with police and fire service roles, science experiments, and hands-on sessions with AI and smart ball technology. Additionally, children can participate in crafts such as making resin keychains, food samples, and candles.

To support participation, ‘Kodomo Oen Tickets’ (Child Support Tickets) will be available to subsidize a portion of the experience fees. These tickets, worth 500 yen each, will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at 11:00 and 13:00, with 50 tickets available per session.
