Suzuka GT300 racing sees O’Sullivan podium and K-tunes Corvette return

At the SRO Japan Cup at Suzuka, Zak O’Sullivan and teammate Kiyoshi Umegaki secured a second-place podium for CarGuy MKS Racing in the GT300 class driving a Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo. The race saw Pacific Racing’s BMW take maiden wins through Tomibayashi and Fujiwara, who maintained a significant lead despite a safety car period.

In the same event, K-tunes Racing is returning the No. 96 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3 to competition for the season finale. The car had been absent since May following an engine failure at Sportsland Sugo. Sena Sakaguchi and Kazunori Suenaga will pilot the vehicle. K-tunes has reduced its entry to a single car after withdrawing its No. 97 Ferrari; driver Betty Chen opted to withdraw from racing to support teammate Ollie Milroy following a serious accident during a recent China GT round.
