Suzuki expands GSX-R supersport motorcycle lineup
Suzuki has announced significant updates and releases within its GSX-R supersport motorcycle lineup. In Japan, the GSX-R1000R is making a highly anticipated return after a four-year hiatus. Set for a July 17, 2026, release, the redesigned flagship features a 999cc inline-four engine producing 140kW, improved electronic controls via the S.I.R.S. system, and a lightweight lithium-ion battery. High demand is already reported among various age groups, with certain color options nearing sell-out status.
In the United States, Suzuki has released the 2027 GSX-R600 and GSX-R750 models. The 2027 GSX-R600, priced at $12,499, features a 599cc engine, Showa Big Piston forks, and Brembo brake calipers. A special 40th Anniversary Edition of the GSX-R600 is also available. The GSX-R750 continues the lineage with its 750cc inline-four engine designed for a balance of agility and performance.
