Suzuki expands SUV lineup with Vitara Across launch
Suzuki is expanding its SUV presence in Latin American markets with the introduction of the Vitara Across. In the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo Motors has officially launched the model, which features a 1.5-liter gasoline engine paired with a 12V Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) system. This light hybrid technology provides an additional torque of up to 50 Nm during starts and utilizes a lithium-ion battery.
In Mexico, the brand is introducing the Suzuki Across BoosterGreen 2027. This compact SUV is designed to occupy the market space previously held by the S-Cross and Grand Vitara models. The Mexican version features a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 102 horsepower and 101 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission including paddle shifters. The vehicle includes upgraded interior technology, such as a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a head-up display.
