Suzuki Griquas and Airlink Pumas to contest Currie Cup final

The Suzuki Griquas and Airlink Pumas will face each other in the 2026 Carling Currie Cup Premier Division final in Kimberley this Saturday. The match is scheduled to kick off at 15:00 and will be broadcast live on SuperSport.

Defending champions Suzuki Griquas, led by Pieter Bergh, finished the regular season at the top of the table. After an initial loss, they secured six consecutive victories, recording 271 points and maintaining the tournament's best defensive record. They enter the final following a 52-12 semi-final victory over the Lions.

The Airlink Pumas, coached by Jimmy Stonehouse, seek their second title. While their regular season was more closely contested with a points differential of +6, they previously defeated the Griquas in the 2022 final held at the same venue. Although the Griquas won their most recent league encounter 38-14, the Pumas have held an advantage in their last five overall fixtures.
