Suzuki launches facelifted XL7 7‑seat crossover in Indonesia

Suzuki Motor Corporation unveiled a refreshed version of its XL7 compact 7‑seat crossover at the Indonesia International Motor Show (GIIAS). Built on the Heartect platform shared with the Ertiga, the facelift adds a larger front grille, new LED fog lights, 16‑inch alloy wheels, dual‑tone paint, a shark‑fin antenna and blacked‑out tail lamps. Inside, a 9‑inch infotainment screen replaces the previous 8‑inch unit and higher‑trim models receive a 360‑degree camera, dashcam, ESP, hill‑start assist and tire‑pressure monitoring.

The XL7 retains its 1.5‑litre four‑cylinder engine producing 104 hp, with mild‑hybrid assistance offered on the Beta and Alpha trims. Prices start at 2.743 billion Indonesian rupiah (about US $15,200 or NT$44.8 k) and rise to 3.297 billion rupiah for top‑spec models. The vehicle targets families seeking affordable space, competing with the Honda BR‑V, Mitsubishi Xpander Cross and Toyota Corolla Cross. Production remains in Indonesia, with exports planned for Southeast Asian, African and Latin American markets, while India receives the related six‑seat XL6.
