Suzuki launches GN160 retro motorcycle in Philippines

Suzuki Motorcycles Philippines has officially launched the GN160, a retro-style motorcycle designed to blend classic aesthetics with modern technology. The model serves as a successor to the GN125 series and is positioned for daily commuting.

The GN160 features a 162cc, 4-stroke, SOHC air-cooled engine equipped with electronic fuel injection and a 5-speed manual transmission. It produces a maximum power of 14 hp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The motorcycle is reported to have a fuel efficiency of approximately 50.3 km per liter based on WMTC testing.

Design elements include a round LED headlight, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a flat seat, and high handlebars. The bike is equipped with a semi-digital instrument cluster, a single disc brake with ABS on the front wheel, and a rear drum brake. It also includes modern conveniences such as a 5V USB charging port and an emergency engine kill switch. The GN160 is available in Metallic Matte Concrete Gray and Pearlescent Black, with a retail price of 125,000 pesos (approximately 2,000 USD).
