Suzuki to launch e SKY kei EV in November 2026

Suzuki has announced details for its first brand-specific kei-class electric vehicle (EV), the e SKY. The model is scheduled for official announcement on October 6, 2026, with a market release set for November 16, 2026.

Built on the new HEARTECT e platform, the e SKY features a 3-in-1 eAxle and offers a driving range of 310km. The vehicle is designed to facilitate a smooth transition for current gasoline-powered kei car owners, focusing on energy efficiency, quietness, and practical daily usability. It will include a 10.1-inch display audio system and a standard 100V/1500W AC power outlet.

The pricing structure consists of three grades: the A grade starting at 2,120,000 yen, the G grade at 2,390,000 yen, and the X grade at 2,790,000 yen. All models are front-wheel drive. The vehicle is currently applying for Clean Energy Vehicle (CEV) subsidies, which could further reduce the effective purchase price for consumers.
