Suzuki to launch seventh‑generation Wagon R in Oct 2027

Suzuki announced that its long‑running kei‑car, the Wagon R, will undergo a full model change as a seventh‑generation version slated for release around October 2027. The new model will retain the current dimensions but will feature the company’s lightweight, high‑rigidity HEARTECT platform, an electric parking brake, auto‑brake‑hold, dual‑sensor brake‑support II, a digital speedometer, a 9‑inch HD display with Suzuki Connect, and upgraded safety and comfort equipment.

The update follows a minor specification change introduced in December 2025, which refreshed the exterior design, added new colour options, and raised prices across the range. Suzuki also disclosed that a BEV concept dubbed Vision e‑Sky, viewed as a potential electric successor to the Wagon R, underwent public‑road testing in Europe in July 2026, with mass‑production targets set for the 2026 fiscal year.
