SV Darmstadt 98 faces difficult season and injury setbacks

SV Darmstadt 98 is facing a challenging period as the club sits at the bottom of the table after six matches in the new season. The team has secured only four points, with their sole victory coming against Bielefeld.

Left-back and vice-captain Fabian Nürnberger will not join the team on its upcoming trip to San Antonio, Texas, from September 25 to October 1. Nürnberger is working on his recovery in Darmstadt following meniscus surgery and ongoing knee and muscular issues. He aims to rejoin team training after the international break. Other long-term injured players, Luca Marseiler and Merveille Papela, will also miss the US trip.

During the trip, the club will play a friendly match against their partner club, San Antonio FC, on September 29. The visit includes various scheduled events for the team, management, and executive board.
