SV Werder Bremen reacquires strikers Niclas Füllkrug and Eren Dinkci

SV Werder Bremen has strengthened its attacking options by bringing back two former players, Niclas Füllkrug and Eren Dinkci. The club sought to address a shortage of strikers following a difficult previous season marked by injuries and inconsistent form.

Niclas Füllkrug returns to the club on a one-season loan from West Ham United. The 33-year-old striker, who previously scored 49 goals in 124 appearances for Bremen, is expected to provide physical presence and leadership. His return has been met with enthusiasm by former teammate Marvin Ducksch, who noted the strong historical connection between Füllkrug and the club.

Eren Dinkci also rejoins the squad after his time with SC Freiburg. Both players are seen as figures who understand the club's identity, having been part of the team that secured promotion to the Bundesliga in 2022.
